Independent sourcing partner

What BeamSource Sourcing Will and Will Not Do

This desk helps a business buyer write a modular or related site-building brief and collect factory quotations on that brief. It is an independent sourcing service. It does not own a plant, it is not a dealer for a searched brand, and it is not a code official. No founding year, plant capacity, or client count is published here because those facts are not the service. A reply is useful when it names steel grade, coating mass, and whether the wall is an insulated metal panel, then states thermal transmittance for that build-up.

Review RFQ Checklist
  1. Receive the brief
  2. Check for missing scope
  3. Ask suitable factories
  4. Line up the answers
  5. Flag open deviations
  6. Leave the award with you

How a request moves

  1. Brief in

You send use, sizes, jurisdiction, quantity, destination, timing, and the scope boundary. A brief might name 12 modules, a 20 ft by 8 ft floor, and an eave height of 8 ft 6 in. Optional budget and a preference for a higher-finish, mid-range, or simpler supplier can ride along. That preference is yours. It is not a grade we have audited.

  2. Gap check

If the note mixes a shell price with an installed building, the desk asks which one you want before factories are contacted. Missing wind, snow, or seismic criteria are marked unknown rather than filled with a guess.

  3. Factory questions

Suppliers are asked for the system they propose, the coating, the envelope, the delivery point, and the documents that apply to that system. BeamSource Sourcing does not rewrite their offer into a claim that the unit is approved.

  4. Comparison pack

Answers are arranged so included, excluded, and optional lines are visible. You and your project team decide what to accept. Contracting, payment, and site safety stay outside this website.

Boundaries that keep the comparison honest

No original-brand supply

A search term can be the reason you arrived. It is not a product we sell and not a relationship we claim.

No invented credentials

IBC, IRC, HUD Code, ASCE 7, AISC 360, AWS D1.1, IAS AC472, and ISO 9001 are topics to verify on a named offer. They are not badges of this desk.

No blended scopes

Shell, delivered, installed, and turnkey stay in separate columns. A lower factory-gate number is not automatically a lower project cost.

No silent substitutions

A change from volumetric modular construction to panelized construction, or from hot-rolled to cold-formed steel, is written down for your approval.

No stock claim

Catalog names are inquiry labels. A 12-week or 20-week lead time, a price, and availability come back from the supplier who answers, or they stay unknown.

No buyer replacement

Engineers, inspectors, and your contracts team remain responsible for acceptance. The desk coordinates questions and organizes the paper.

Start with the requirement, not a slogan

If the project is still being scoped, send what you know and mark the rest as open. A short brief is more useful than a polished paragraph that hides the destination.
